Suzanne Clouzeau has had a love and passion for filmmaking since the age of twelve
years old when she built her own darkroom in the basement of her Chicago area home.
Suzanne went to the University of California at San Diego where she graduated
with a Bachelor of Arts in Film, Video and Photography. While at UCSD, Suzanne helped her volleyball teammates win the first NCAA National Championship title for the university.
After college, Suzanne moved to Paris, France to work in the commercial film industry. A career high light for Suzanne was the extraordinary opportunity to work on a commercial with Darius Khondji the DP of renowned movies like Se7en and Alien Resurrection. Suzanne also worked as the Assistant Director on several French language videos for companies such as McGraw Hill and C. E. Holt. In 1996, Suzanne went to work for Silver Hammer Studios in Charlotte, NC as a motion picture camera rental technician. Then in 2004 she became the camera department manager. Throughout the years at SHS, Suzanne worked on numerous film, video and HD commercials as an Assistant Camera Operator. The clients included BMW, Bank of America, Chevy and Children's Miracle Network to name a few. 2008 brought a move to Boone, NC for Suzanne and an opportunity to teach an advanced camera techniques workshop to the faculty members at Appalachian State University. In 2009, Suzanne created her own production company, Clouzeau Productions, producing and shooting 16mm hospital commercials, HD web-site marketing videos, special event videos and training videos. |
